In celebration of Andy Warhol’s birthday on August 6th, The Andy Warhol Museum and EarthCam bring you Figment — a live feed of Andy Warhol’s gravesite in the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Pennsylvania, available 24 hours a day and seven days a week on the internet.
Hundreds come to visit Warhol’s grave to put Campbell’s Soup cans on it, for his an important artist who made art with Campbell’s Soup cans. Now you can watch all the pilgrimaging tourists and judge them based on their body language and appearance, like, you guys don’t know shit about Warhol, ok?
You can view the feed here. Hopefully, some celebratory hijinks will ensue at some point, because is not very eventful at the moment. It is, however, a neat audio backdrop because cemetery sounds are very soothing.
