Former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik has landed a new job fighting crime but it won’t be anywhere in the US. Guyanese President Bharrat Jadego recently hired Kerik’s firm as part of a $20 million dollar reformation of his country’s police force. Bernie’s ethic violations are no problem for Jadego who noted that Kerik’s experience far outweighs his immorality yet he still made this this puzzling comment:
“Mr. Kerik has a firm and that firm will work with us. So it is not necessarily that Mr. Kerik would be heading a unit, but the firm will work with us on the reform of the police force.”
Not exactly a vote of confidence it would seem but as long as Kerik is not directly involved with the firm bearing his own name everything should work out just fine. Our advice: Just don’t let him cut the checks!
