While a general consensus is building in the United States to legalize weed, the cocaine capital of the world, Colombia, is moving in the opposite direction. The President of the South American country “wants to ban the personal use of cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy,” despite a “1994 Constitutional Court ruling that said the prohibition of drug use violated the right to the “free development of personality” set forth in Colombia’s Constitution.” |CSM|
Some details were released in the case of the two Fashion Institute of Technology students charged with selling a measly 11 grams of cocaine to pushy undercover cops over a month long investigation. The only real crime committed, the price they paid per gram: $116.36. |NYP|
You can’t make this stuff up: “A Twin Falls resident charged with forgetting he’d left 21 pounds of marijuana in an apartment he’d moved out of last October, has pled guilty. 28 year old Samuel Wood and 29 year old Justin Bright were both arrested on drug charges after an employee of an apartment complex on Heyburn Avenue East discovered the marijuana.” How fucking stoned do you have to be to misplace 21 pounds of weed?
