Illustrating Sarah Palin’s Position On Health Care

Considering Sarah Palin’s highly vocal and extremely make believe statements about President Obama’s so called “death panels,” that ultimately guarantee baby Trig will die early, this California-based artist sums up the accuracy of the her contribution to the national health care debate quite nicely.

‘Eddie the Street Artist’ Sticks It To Obama

Obama Street Art – Obama Art Report

While the McCain camp might have Joe-the-manipulative-pseudo-Plumber who may or may not EVER buy his boss’ company and will end up benefitting under the Democrats tax plan anyway, the Obama side has “Eddie the Street Artist.” When he’s not taking shots at Nike and the Olympics or donating art to the Manifest Hope Gallery during the DNC, he’s hitting the streets. Watch as the socialist democracy spreading artist provides his presidential candidate with a whole bunch of free publicity.

Artist Challenges Nike In Olympic Takedown

When he’s not busy building Chino-Obama lightboxes and promoting the Democratic candidate for president, San Francisco based artist, Eddie, is taking shots at Nike via Olympic imagery. He recently created this Molotov cocktail homage to the sneaker brand to highlight their commitment to exploiting cheap labor. It’s the tagline that the street postering artist specifically takes issue with: “If you’re gonna take the ‘Just Do It’ phrase seriously, than it should also be applied to standing up for human rights, against totalitarianism, things we consider revolutionary. That is self-empowerment. I could go on for hours about the dichotomy of it all, but I think most viewers get the point.” Agreed, but do they care?

One of Many Reasons the DNC Will Be Hipper Than the RNC

In what could be easily be construed as the liberal clusterfuck of the 21st century, MoveOn is partnering with Shepard Fairey and Upper Playground to host a Pro-Obama (naturally) exhibit during the DNC. The “Manifest Hope Art Gallery” will open on Sunday, August 24 and run through Thursday, August 28. The 10,000 square foot venue will display work by both established an emerging artists. Additionally, the proponents of the candidate that can actually raise his arms above his head will hold an art contest and 30 submissions will be featured in an online gallery with the top 5 hung physically at the ‘Hope’ Gallery. We also hear that the show will include on site installations from the likes of Ron English and Sam Flores. The above image is from one of the artists featured in the show, who simply goes by the name Eddie. He’s been pasting up this image around San Francisco of Obama with radiating lights and the word “Forward” in Chinese in part to highlight the often overlooked Asian voting bloc. He’s also created versions in Spanish and plans on rolling out other languages too like Korean, Japanese, Russian, and Vietnamese. The piece itself was created with layers of paper, shellac, and then pasted into a lightbox. Detailed shots and images of the work in progress below.
