Are 3D-printed clothes the apparel of the future? A Dutch designer has already dabbled in that idea, and a new Michael Schmidt–Francis Bitonti collaboration has resulted in this mesh dress, precisely designed for Dita Von Teese to show off the medium’s potential for creating custom clothing.
As evidenced by the photos above, 3D-printing also allows for the creation of intricate designs that are pretty much impossible to make by hand. Seems much more interesting than, say, a bong.
