We’re one step closer to getting weed legalized for medical use in our great state: a bill introduced into the New York State Assembly and Senate by a 50-strong bipartisan coalition would allow approved patients to carry up to two and a half ounces of bud, and would regulation the creation of for-profit and not-for-profit dispensaries. Our neighbors across the Hudson have been enjoying medical cannabis for a few months now (though formally legalized years ago, New Jersey’s first dispensary didn’t open until December). It’s about time we get on board as well.
