In East London, there’s street art… everywhere, so it’s by no means easy to stick out amongst all the noise. Yet, there are a few that do, such as A.CE. His signature wheat-pastes are ubiquitous.
Inspired by Dada collage, classic pop art and graphic design, his work is an extension of the graffiti he started doing back in the 90’s and despite the move away from those conventional graffiti references, he is still driven by the fundamental aim of the writer to ‘get up’ and make his mark.
To help promote a book that he contributed to, aptly entitled, It’s a Stick-Up, A.CE put out a video of his process.
