“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.
This week’s Listen In comes from the minimal electronic duo Mount Kimbie, who compiled a playlist full of hip-hop, vocal jazz, and dance music of all kinds. The closer, Prince Far I’s “Plant Up,” sounds like Yeezus but came out 30 years earlier. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist, and scroll down to see and play individual songs.
Mount Kimbie play Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight at 8PM.
