Bruce High Quality Foundation University is “a learning experiment” that offers free classes to artists and art enthusiasts, from performance and sculpture critique to Brad Troemel’s Chat Room of-/post-internet lecture and discussion sessions. BHQFU is now offering a special artist residency program at their Avenue A loft, for five artists of different disciplines to work collaboratively from June 1st to u 31st. It is open to all artists 18+.

Five artists selected from different backgrounds and disciplines will be provided FREE 24/7-access shared studio space to make, collaborate, and navigate the murky waters of cooperative space.

From the outset participants, with the support of the BHQFU team, will be asked to design and adapt the program to meet their specific needs through regular group meetings culminating in a group-determined public finale.

What is Provided:
24/7 access to the 2,000 square foot BHQFU loft at 34 Avenue A.
Wi-Fi, Full Kitchen, 2 Bathrooms, Office, Projector, Sound System, Tables, Chairs, Regular Studio Visits from Visiting Artists (TBD)

The BHQFU Summer Residency is open to artists of all disciplines 18+ from around the country and around the world. All costs including housing, travel, food and supplies are the responsibility of each individual artist.

The Application Process:
1. Fill out the Online Application Before March 1st.
You’ll hear back from us by March 7th if you’ve been selected for an interview.
2. Interviews will happen in person whenever possible between March 7th-12th.
3. Successful Applicants will be notified by March 15th.
