When Twitter started allowing you to embed images directly within tweets, it opened the door for all sorts of annoyance. Brands can force your eyeballs onto gaudy visual advertisements, and non-corporate mischief makers can do things like tweet pictures of gross pigs or enormous, ridiculous triptychs.
Now, here’s a new one: SUPER IMPORTANT TWEET, which takes anything you’d like to broadcast and renders it in big, brightly colored block letters in an embedded image. I can’t think of any practical applications, but if you’re just looking to irritate the shit out of your followers, you could do a lot worse.
