“The federal government should repeal the ban on marijuana,” writes the Editorial Board of the New York Times. In just over 500 words, the oped — which is accompanied by a trippy animation that shows the stars and stripes morphing into weed leaves — spells out why it’s time to legalize cannabis, likening the government’s current policy to Prohibition in the 1920s. As noble as it is for the Paper of Record to come out in support of pot, maybe now they’ll consider adjusting their own restrictions too:
Good on the New York Times for supporting pot legalization. Now they should stop drug testing employees http://t.co/f7y04hFGEw
