Two years ago, French artist Greg “Léon” Guillemin landed upon a pop cultural phenomenon in which he began imagining the “Secret Life of Heroes.” In 60 bright comic art panels, he illustrated the illicit, prurient and mundane habits of some of pop culture’s most iconic figures: Darth Vader goes to the beach, Captain America picks at his ear wax, Snow White drinks bubbly. The illustrations launched a series of projects in the same vein that parodied pop icons, mostly appreciated by fans in exhibitions and online.
Now, however, thanks to a wildly successful Kickstarter effort, fans can buy Guillemin’s favorite prints in a graphic book called For Your Eyes Only. Preview some of the selected works here.
