The new West 34th Street station on the 7 Train will, at long last, open this summer. DNAinfo reports that on May 26 MTA subway conductors began at the new station, the last step before the station opens, and shared the MTA’s footage of the training.
“We are in the final 50-yard sprint of this project,” said MTA Capital Construction Company President Michael Horodniceanu. “We expect to announce an opening date in the next several weeks.”
Unfortunately, due to breakdowns and service outages, the 7 Train itself may not ever reach the station.
