Weezy-Hating State Senator Arrested for Trying to Rig Mayoral Election

Democratic State Senator Malcom Smith was arrested by FBI agents today after allegedly scheming to rig the 2013 New York City mayoral election. According to the feds, Smith issued bribes to several GOP leaders in order to get himself on the Republican ticket. According to sources contacted by the Post, the state senator would have needed the support of party leadership from at least three boroughs to get onto the ballot without changing his party affiliation. City Councilman Dan Halloran, a Republican, was also arrested as part of the plot, as were Spring Valley, NY mayor Noramie F. Jasmin, her deputy, Bronx Republican Chairman Joseph Savino, and Queens Republican Vice Chairman Vincent Tabone.
