To test just how clever Cleverbot really is, director Chris R. Wilson created a short film, co-written by the celebrated artificial intelligence platform and acted out by real humans. According to Wilson, he’d set up scenes for Cleverbot, then allow it to fill in the characters’ dialogue. The resulting film is as zany as should be expected for such an undertaking, with ridiculous character names surreal one-liners, and a surprising number of pop culture references.
