“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.
Today, we’re hooking up with UK indie rockers Mazes, who gave us a playlist that’s all over the stylistic map–from Inga Copeland’s deconstructed dubstep to a 20-minute improvisation from folk guitarist Sandy Bull. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist, and scroll down to see and play individual songs. The playlist’s first half was selected by guitarist/vocalist Jack Cooper, and the second by bassist Conan Roberts.
Mazes are currently touring Europe, and will play La Peniche in Lille, France tomorrow evening.
Jack Cooper’s selections:
Royal Limp – Planet Us (2012)
Van Stonholdt – 21st Century Problem (2012)
The Evens – King of Kings (2012)
Inga Copeland – So Far So Clean (2013)
Antelope – Mirroring (2007)
Conan Roberts’s selections:
Sandy Bull – Blend Pt. 1 (1963)
MMOSS – Hands (2012)
Twerps – He’s in Stock (2012)
