California, utopia of quasi-legal cannabis, could soon ban the super-potent cannabis extracts known as dabs. A bill in the state legislature aimed at regulating the state’s medical industry would prohibit any physician from prescribing butane hash oil.
“There’s no medicinal value to a high-THC concentrates like butane hash oil, and we don’t believe it’s part of the array of legitimate medical marijuana,” a representative of the state’s police chief association said of the bill. “It didn’t even exist as a product in 1996, and it’s not appropriate to be included in what voters thought they were voting on with Proposition 215 in 1996.”
If the bill passes, you’ll no longer be able to get wax at your friendly neighborhood dispensary, Californians, but I can’t imagine that will stop you from smoking it.
