Michael Grimm Was Barred From Entering FBI Offices After He Left

May 8, 2014 | Andy Cush

The story of Michael Grimm continues to get more salacious. The New York Congressman, who was arrested on federal criminal charges this month, was barred from entering FBI’s New York offices after he left the force in 2006, according to a new report from DNAinfo’s Murray Weiss.

Grimm’s photo hangs inside the FBI offices along with “about two dozen” other ex-agents and employees who are no longer welcomed on the premises, Weiss writes. “They are all employees who were fired, or they were under circumstances where they were forced out or felt they should leave, and all are no longer welcome back,” a former FBI official said.

No word on exactly why Grimm was barred from his old hangout. The Congressman’s spokespeople maintain his exit was friendly, but it’s possible the ban on entry stems from an internal investigation into his behavior as an undercover agent. Or maybe he just had a temper.
