For a while, YouTube was the best place to see wily rats interacting with the public. At one point, there was new footage emerging weekly, some of it more horrific than the next. But rest easy city dwellers, the rats of New York are finally getting the proper film treatment they deserve. According to Variety and Yahoo, the people behind Blackfish, will be producing the documentary on the world’s most famous rodents and the problems they cause.
The documentary will be based on the Observations on the History and Habitat of the City’s Most Unwanted Inhabitants book by Robert Sullivan, the author responsible for alerting us to the fact that rats can fuck up to 20 times a day and birth thousands of pups. Filming begins in 2015 and it’s sure to be positively repulsive. (Photo: m01229)
