Buy Original Art From Coraline, ParaNorman and The Boxtrolls

Stop-motion animation studio Laika is auctioning off more than 250 works of puppetry, art, models and props from all three of its Academy Award nominated films Coraline, ParaNorman and The Boxtrolls at Heritage Auction locations in Dallas, New York and Beverly Hills. Starting February 3rd till the 5th, animation and art lovers can visit the Park Avenue office to view (and if rich enough, bid) on the works of the acclaimed animation studio as the exhibit stops by NYC.

Pieces available for view and auction include the original animation puppets of all three protagonists Coraline’s Coraline Jones; The Boxtrolls’ Eggs and ParaNormans’ Norman Babcock, film antagonists, and various side characters.

As it stands, the original animation puppets are bidding upwards to $4,000 dollars or more. For us cheapskates, concept art for all three films are still at the low hundreds. You can go on the official site and make a bid for a chance to own a piece of animation history. A portion of the proceeds go to non-profit The Art of Elysium.
