The Man Without Fear is finally getting the chance to wash away the stink of early 2000s Ben Affleck with the first full trailer for the new Netflix original series Daredevil. It looks pretty awesome.
It gives us our first real look at Boardwalk Empire star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock: A blind defense lawyer living in Hell’s Kitchen, dealing with an overly corrupt New York City legal system. At night, Murdock dons a costume and seeks to bring those who think they can escape the law to justice.
The superhero/crime drama looks like it will be filmed entirely on location in the city and is the first in a line of Marvel Netflix series. The other three will be Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, which will lead to an Avengers style series called The Defenders. The series also features Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple; Scott Glen as Murdock’s mentor Stick; and Vincent D’Onoforio (Private Pyle!) as Wilson Fisk a.k.a The Kingpin.
The series is set to premiere on April 10th.
