If you are an engaged gay couple celebrating your newly Supreme Court-approved right to get married, consider a wedding ceremony at the Local Project Community Art Space. The art collective is donating its Long Island City space to one lucky raffle-winning same-sex couple this July, reports DNAinfo.
Local Project is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2003 by a group of Latin American artists to provide “an open space for artists of all genres, media, or provenances,” according to its website. To enter the contest, email info@localproject.org and “like” the Local Project’s Facebook page.
If you’re discouraged from entering because the odds seem to never be in your favor, Local Project Director Carolina Peñafiel has some good news. “If we get a lot of requests we might do multiple weddings,” she said.
