On Friday night, Irving Plaza hosted the sold out, 25th annual Night of 1,000 Stevies—an over-the-top celebration of rock icon and cult hero Stevie Nicks. One of NYC’s most decadent underground traditions, it was founded in 1990 by the legendary nightclub and event producers The Jackie Factory, and has become the largest and most beloved of its kind, with no shortage of tambourines, shawls, and glitter.

For years, attendees have held out hope that Nicks would make an appearance, and not without reason: for NOTS 21 in 2011, she sent a video of thanks and claimed that she will show up one year in disguise, and only reveal herself with a performance of her iconic “Edge of Seventeen.” Many speculated that the 25th anniversary would be that night, though sadly, we’ll have to wait for at least one more year. But the party raged on until 3 AM anyway.
