Eat Kenny Scharf’s
Glowing IRL Art Doughnuts

April 3, 2013 | Marina Galperina

Aren’t Kenny Scharf’s off-street on-canvas doughnut paintings beautiful? Don’t you just want to put them all up in your mouth?

Aright then.

ARTINFO reports that Doughnut Plan‘s Chelsea location is serving up specially made doughnuts for Scharf’s opening at the Paul Kasmin Gallery tomorrow night. Gallery director Bethanie Brady says:

The Doughnut Plant is creating their organic doughnuts to look like Kenny’s paintings and some of the ingredients activate in black light, so we’ll have them at the after party and then Kenny’s doughnut cart will be on-site at The Standard and The Doughnut Plant will be selling the Scharf treats there on specified days and times throughout the exhibition.

Mmm. Glowing doughnuts. These IRL doughnuts look just like the paintings with the doughnuts in them that look just like doughnuts IRL. Put them in my mouth. Thank you.
