Because New York City is actually a bleak 1980s-era simulacrum of a futuristic city on the brink of apocalypse, the NYPD have taken to announcing the reduced city-wide speed limit by blaring it from a large van. One Redditor caught the Bladerunner-esque scene on camera and shared this video, above.
The New York City speed limit has been reduced from 30MPH to 25MPH, effective November 7.
