The New York Daily News reports on “an internal NYPD directive” from February 6 that showed cops how they can use Siri to return lost iPhones to their original owners though the phone is locked. Apparently, the directive even outlined the steps (press the home button) and included what questions to ask. Now that every cop in New York knows the basics of using an iPhone, maybe you have a better shot of getting your phone back after leaving it in a taxi.
