A New Jersey-based rapper named Wais P the Pimp was charged with promoting prostitution on Thursday, according to the Daily News. Not since C-Murder went to prison for murder has a rapper been arrested for something so on-the-nose.
Wais P the Pimp appeared on a 1998 Jay-Z song called “If I Should Die.”
He doesn’t rap about pimping on that song, but most of his other songs are about pimping.
The Daily News does not confirm if the “P” in “Wais P” stands for “Pimp” or “Pimping,” but it probably does.
