Listen To This Crazy Wu-Tang/Final Fantasy Mashup To Celebrate The 21st Anniversary Of 36 Chambers

November 14, 2014 | Rhett Jones

Mashup maestro 2 Mello noticed that Final Fantasy 6 and Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers were released around the same time, so he mixed the soundtrack of the classic RPG with Wu-rhymes and the results are awesome.

Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) came flying out of Shaolin on November 9th, 1993 and Final Fantasy 6 was released in November of 1994. Music moved through culture a little slower back then, and over the year, the album crept up the charts based on a lot of good buzz. It’s possible that 2 Mello was listening to the Wu for the first time when he made his first run through the game.

If you dig the tunes embedded below, you can also hear 2 Mello’s mashup of Jay Z and Chrono Trigger here, it’s even better.
