Listen In: Prince Rama Made You a Playlist

April 21, 2015 | Liam Mathews

“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist or scroll down to see and hear individual tracks.

Prince Rama is a Brooklyn-based New Age/pop/psychedelic freakout band made up of sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson. Their interactive live shows combine choreography, performance art, and straight-up rock ‘n’ roll heroics into a full-on ecstatic experience. Their music is highly physical, so Nimai Larson shared her Limp Bizkit-heavy workout playlist with ANIMAL. “All that raw, honest, masculine energy makes me run faster, push harder, and sweat more,” she says. “It’s like having a hot trainer screaming in my ear the entire time I’m working out!”

Catch them on tour right now with Dan Deacon, and stream their new single “XO.”
